Application Procedures for Inbound Exchange Students [Spring 2027 Entry]
1. Application Process for Inbound Exchange Students
For Applicants: Submit Application Documents
Please submit all required application documents to the inbound team staff from your home institution. A list of required documents can be found in the “Required Documents” section below.
For Home Institution of Applicants
Step1: Submit Nomination List and Application Documents
Applicants must complete the application forms attach all required documents. Please send the nomination list along with the completed application forms supporting documents to wt.yang@mx.nthu.edu.tw before September 18, 2026.
Step2. Admission Notification
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at NTHU will inform the home institution of their admission status.
2. Language Requirements:
Since most courses are conducted in Chinese, students must demonstrate an appropriate level of Chinese proficiency. The following certifications are accepted:
HSK(Chinese Proficiency Test,新漢語水平考試) Level 5
TOCFL(Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language,華語文能力測驗新制進階級)New Format: BandB – Level 4 or
TOCFL(Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language,華語文能力測驗舊制)Old Format: Level 4 – TOP3: 90-101
*If applicants are unable to provide the above certifications, they must submit an official recommendation letter from their home institution verifying their Chinese language proficiency.
3. Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Application Form (word file / pdf file)
- Official University Transcript (in English or Chinese)
- Study Plan
- Copy of Passport
- ID Photograph (jpg format, passport-size)
- Certificate of Language Proficiency
